Effective 19 September 2026. RSA Test is made by Stacksy (Perth, Western Australia). This policy covers the RSA Test app for iPhone and iPad and this website.

The short version

RSA Test does not collect any data about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no server of ours involved. Everything the app records stays on the devices you run it on unless you choose to share it.

What the app stores, and where

  • Test details you type in: the umpire's name, gender, panel, the witness's name, the venue and the date.
  • Times and results for each sprint, and the verdict.
  • Stills: one camera frame from each gate at the moment of each crossing, with the time and sprint number burned in. These are photographs of the person being tested.
  • Calibration settings for your pair of devices.

All of this is kept in the app's own storage on the finish device (and the start device keeps its own stills). It is included in your device backups if you back up the device. You can delete any test from Past tests, or delete the app, and it is gone.

The camera

The app uses the camera as a timing gate: it watches the line continuously while a session is open. Only the single frame at each crossing is kept. No video is recorded and no frames are sent anywhere.

The link between two devices

The two devices talk to each other directly over your Wi-Fi network or a Personal Hotspot, using the local network. They exchange clock readings, gate events and the start gate's crossing still. Nothing goes to the internet. iOS asks for Local Network permission for this.

Sharing

When you share a results sheet or a session folder, it goes wherever you send it, for example by email to a National Association. That is your choice and under your control; we never see it.

This website

rsa.hockey is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our web host keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, page requested, time) for a short period for security.

Children

The app is for adults running fitness tests. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
